Diablo 3 Character Profiles Arriving After Launch
Soon after Diablo 3's release, Blizzard will roll out an important feature for the game's official website. The new profiles feature will allow you to check out detailed information about other players' characters.
When the profiles are first implemented, they'll have two main components. A career tab will show a player's progress in the D3 campaign, all of their heroes (including the ones slain in Hardcore mode) and other stats. The heroes tab, meanwhile, will give you in-depth information on individual characters, including equipment, skills and Followers. A couple screenshots below show what this interface looks like.
Blizzard will eventually expand these profiles to include more information. For example, they plan to diablo 3 cd key display characters' achievements and artisans. No timeline was provided for these additions.
These profiles sound similar to the Armory feature in World of warcraft. The Armory is a handy way to keep tabs on friends' accomplishments or check out more experienced players' equipment and skill trees - I'd imagine D3 players will use character profiles in the same way. It'll help you screen potential allies for Inferno mode as well.
D3 will launch on May 15th worldwide.
